Monday: Clothes! Make sure your child has a change of clothes in their backpack in case of a spill, accident, or wardrobe malfunction. Middle school & tweens – deodorant and feminine hygiene products should also be packed.
Tuesday: Wash! Outwear and hoodies should be washed more frequently, shoot for 2x a week and keep washing masks, wash the backpack occasionally too.
Wednesday: Hair! Check your child’s hair for LICE, look for white eggs on hair shaft, report to Clinic if eggs are discovered-treat hair, remove nits, and notify clinic.
Thursday: Mental Health! Take time to check in with your kids, ask about their friends. Emotional health can have profound effects on physical health.
Friday: H2O! Check your child’s water bottle for leaks and cleanliness. Water Bottle Required each day of school.
Weekends: Outside! Do something fun outside, there are psychological and physical benefits to being in the sun.
Always: Health Line! Call the health line or send an email when your child is absent, report any health information.
Never: Never send any medication to school with your child ( includes over the counter medications)
Daily: Health! Temperature check and home health screening for sore throat, uncontrolled cough, diarrhea or vomiting, new onset of Severe headache.
Every day: Wear a mask! Bring a water bottle! Pack a Change of clothes! Be safe!
