A higher standard of dress encourages greater respect for individual students and others and results in a higher standard of behavior. It also prepares students for the dress code requirements of the workforce. Our dress code guidelines indicate appropriate school dress for normal school days. Imagine School at Town Center reserves the right to interpret these guidelines and/or make changes during the school year. Students are expected to follow these guidelines. This belief is supported by extensive research on the positive effect of school uniforms on student learning and behavior and is also stated in our approved charter. Therefore, Imagine School at Town Center enforces a mandatory uniform policy for all students.

All shirts must be tucked in front and back. For cooler weather navy blue or white long sleeve shirts may be worn underneath the uniform.
All bottoms K-5 (pants, shorts, or skorts) must be Khaki and in uniform style that are purchased in the uniform section of department stores. Shorts / skorts / skirts must not be shorter than one inch above the knee. Middle School students ONLY are permitted to wear khaki or navy bottoms. Please see examples below as well as the ISTC website.
Skirts, if worn, MUST have shorts on underneath at all times.
All uniform bottoms with belt loops MUST be worn with a solid plain black or brown belt. Belt exceptions will be made for Kindergarten grades only.
On cold weather days; ladies may wear knee socks / leggings / or tights in plain navy, black, or white only.
Socks and Tights:
Students may wear knee socks / leggings / or tights in plain navy, tan, black, or white only.
Hair must be neat and clean with no “unnatural” colors, (i.e. bright green) or unnatural haircuts (i.e. Mohawk, designs or excessive attachments). No hats/ hoods or bandanas shall be worn indoors.
Jewelry or accessories that pose a safety concern for the student or to others are prohibited. Facial and excessive piercing is not permitted.
Students must wear closed toed shoes at all times. No heavy military type boots, shoes with metal tips or steel toes may be worn. No wheels in shoes are permitted. Tennis shoes are preferred and are required for participation in physical education.
Jackets / Sweatshirts / Outerwear:
Sweatshirts or sweaters, without the school logo, worn during school hours must be plain navy blue for K – 5th or plain red or navy blue for 6th – 8th. Students are permitted to also wear the approved gray, navy or red Imagine hoody. In addition to the approved logo jacket, (available at Ross Marine / U Name It), any plain / solid lightweight navy blue (K-5th) or red (6th – 8th) jacket may be worn over the uniform. During colder weather, any heavy winter coat may be worn but MUST be removed upon entering the building.
Every Friday, students may wear any Imagine T-shirt, spirit shirt or Imagine sponsored club shirt with uniform bottom. These Imagine shirts will be considered a part of “Spirit Day”. All spirit days are free of charge.
$1.00 Jean Dress Down Fridays:
Every LAST Friday of the month, students are allowed to dress in jeans; along with a spirit shirt, provided that they pay $1.00. As a reminder, jeans must be free of holes, tears, or rips and follows the Flagler County Schools’ dress code policies. ISTC reserves the right to refuse a student from wearing jeans from any future dress down days due to non-payment or failure to follow rules.
Book Bags, Folders and Personal Items:
Book bags, backpacks, folders or any other personal items must not display patches, entertainment insignias, drawings, obscene words, gang signs or any other item that would be deemed inappropriate, offensive or reflect negatively on ISTC. Rolling backpacks are not allowed.
Since every student represents our school, we esteem modesty and an overall neat appearance by our student body. At no school function are students permitted to wear anything offensive or immodest, as deemed by school administration.

- 1st Infraction – Student Conference, Warning, Verbal Parent Contact 2nd Infraction –
- K -5 Recess / MS – Lunch Detention
- 3rd Infraction – After School Detention
- 4th Infraction – Out of School Suspension
