“Partnering with Parents in Educating Their Students”
As part of Imagine Schools’ Six Measures of Excellence, parent involvement is an integral component to our educational program. We recognize parents are vitally important to our school’s success and we believe that the work and values taught and shared during the school day should be extended into the home.
To help foster and achieve parent involvement, all families who attend ISTC are required to volunteer 20 hours of their time each year. This service can be done in the classroom, at home, by contributing goods to the classroom and/or working at an event sponsored by the school.
In addition to parental volunteers, ISTC is open and welcoming to volunteers wanting to give back to the local community. Your life experiences and time are an invaluable resource to the students who we serve.
To maintain our shared value of justice, we also offer parents the opportunity to purchase classroom or school supplies, in lieu of their time. Every $10 donated (with receipt) is exchanged for 1 hour of service.
As required by company policy and state law, all school volunteers (and guests) must undergo a background check through our front office to work on the ISTC campus.

You MUST check in with the front office using your valid State Issued ID. Our new on-line, instant access program will screen volunteers and guests upon each check in.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Lunch Duty from 10:30-1:00 daily
- Monitors for Morning Arrival from 8:00-8:30 daily
- Monitors for Afternoon Dismissal from 2:45-3:30 daily
- After-school reading tutor
- After-school math tutor
- Campus beautification
- Picture Days: Fall, Spring & Class Photos
- Classroom assistance (see your child’s teacher)
